Shonagh first started playing taiko with her school group "Yakamashii Taiko" in Glasgow in 2002. She began training at the Dojo the following year, and soon became a regular performer at various events, excelling at the flamboyant Hokuriku-style performance. Shonagh joined Mugenkyo's "Way of the Drum" tour in 2006, the 15th Anniversary tour in 2009, and again in 2011, as well as being a regular member of the group's festival line-up.

Shonagh is known for her hard-hitting performances, and her never-give-up attitude, and is a magnetic presence on-stage. Our own blonde bombshell is also an outreach instructor at the Dojo & popular with kids and adults alike.
