Originally from Dunfermline, Fi first encountered taiko drumming at a Mugenkyo concert & workshop at Aberdeen University in 2004, where she was studying music. Within her degree, Fi specialised in percussion performance, with her main instrument being the marimba. She started training at the Dojo in 2006, joining Mugenkyo on tour in 2008, for the 15th Anniversary tour in 2009, and again in 2011.

Fi is known for her precise rhythm and tough playing. Her no-nonsense approach & hard-work ethic has meant she has grown to be one of the most respected players of Mugenkyo and teachers at the Dojo, leading many performances and setting an example to our other players. One of our most valued professionals.
