Performance Projects
The Mugen Taiko Dojo has extensive experience co-ordinating and delivering high quality educational projects, working with children, youth & adults, teaching a wide range of performance pieces & organising student performances at schools, theatres and festivals. Highlights over the years:

"Taiko to Achieve" - Stoke on Trent
450 students aged 6-15 from 8 schools perform at the Victoria Halls after a 3-month project.

South Lanarkshire Performance Project
240 secondary school students take part in a 6-week course leading to a performance.

NTC Youth Theatre Masterclasses
Annual masterclass 2005-2009, teaching performance skills through taiko drumming.

Science on Stage Performance Project
Quantum mechanics expressed through taiko, dance, choral music & on-stage science experiments.

Northeast Lincolnshire Educational Project
Workshops leading to a performance by primary school pupils.

Tees Valley Performance Project
Teaching projects in 2007 & 2008 lead to setting up student groups "Senshin Daiko" & "Trailblazers".

Breeze Festival - West Yorkshire Playhouse
Project with West Leeds High School learning & performing taiko in 2004 & 2005.

Performance project for adults from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Educational project with workshops leading to a student concert at a local theatre.

"Amaterasu" - The Maltings, Berwick
Theatre production expressing a Japanese folktale with taiko, sound effects & a fan dance.

"Woods between the Worlds" - Wiltshire
Taiko combined with dance, drama & song, in an outdoor performance in a Wiltshire woodland.

Taiko Drumming Project - Sadler's Wells, London
Teaching taiko, guiding drum-making & costume design, leading to a student performance.
