The World of Gods
Acclaimed collaboration "The World of Gods" with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, a concert weaving the two art-forms together into a seamless whole. Tommy Smith, saxophonist & director of the SNJO, composed new music and new arrangements of traditional Japanese melodies, while Mugenkyo composed new taiko rhythms for the jazz arrangements, opening a completely new avenue of creativity.
The World of Gods will be performing at jazz festivals across the UK in 2011 & 2012, including the Glasgow Jazz Festival in June and the London Jazz Festival in November.
