Taiko Sunday - Workshops for all ages

Taiko drumming - "Wadaiko" - is an energetic, physical and highly choreographed art form. Originally from Japan, with roots going back hundreds of years and encompassing a variety of styles, rhythms and movement, this traditional folk art is now developing and spreading as a modern European art form.

Now is the chance for people here in Scotland to experience a full day of workshops of this exciting discipline which is energetic & fun & learnt alongside other taiko enthusiasts at our dojo!

10 - 11am  - Family workshop, any age children and parents welcome £5

11.30 - 12.30pm - Primary school age workshop £5

1.30 - 3pm - Beginners workshop -Adults £15 and Secondary school age £10

3.30 - 5.30pm - Intermediate workshop £20

Workshops will take place at the Mugen Taiko Dojo, located just off the main road between Strathaven & Lesmahagow.
