Come & try out Taiko at a fun & accessible tasteer workshop at the Mugen Taiko Dojo. Taiko drumming combines rhythm, movement & energy. It's uplifting to play, is good for physical & mental health, and helps develop coordination & internal rhythm. Taiko promotes teamwork & is also a great stress-uster!
The free taster workshop is suitable for adults of all ages & abilities, and covers the basics of taiko from the stance & grip, through to learning a simple rhythm by the end of the session.
The workshop is held at the Mugen Taiko Dojo, the UK's only purpose-built taiko dojo, with excellent facilities. The Dojo is located halfway between Lesmahagow & Strathaven, 10 mins from the M74: you can find us by typing in Mugen Taiko Dojo in googlemaps.
Afterwards, there is the opportunity to join one of our 8-week courses, either on a Wednesday evening 6:30 - 8pm or on a Thursday morning 10:30am - 12 midday. We also run weekend workshops & intensive courses, as well as a variety of further training.
