Taster Workshop in Glasgow

Taiko drumming - "Wadaiko" - is an energetic, physical and highly choreographed art form. Originally from Japan, with roots going back hundreds of years and encompassing a variety of styles, rhythms and movement, this traditional folk art is now developing and spreading as a modern European art form.

Now is the chance for people here in Scotland to experience a full course of this exciting discipline which is energetic & fun & learnt alongside other taiko enthusiasts!

The Glasgow workshop is on Tuesday 5th July

This course is designed to be suitable for both beginners & improvers, and will take the participants step by step from the stance, to the bachi drumstick grip through to learning a performance piece.

If you have previous experience in taiko, you may be interested in our "Taiko Night" group, which meets at 7.30-9.30pm on Tuesdays at the same venue.
