Taiko Course in Falkirk - workshop for all ages

Taiko drumming - "Wadaiko" - is an energetic, physical and highly choreographed art form. Originally from Japan, with roots going back hundreds of years and encompassing a variety of styles, rhythms and movement, this traditional folk art is now developing and spreading as a modern European art form.

Now is the chance for people here in Scotland to experience a workshop of this exciting discipline which is energetic & fun & learnt alongside other taiko enthusiasts!

Suitable for anyone who hasn't played taiko or any kind of percussion before. We will take you step by step through the basics, from the stance to the bachi drumstick grip, to fundamental rhythms, to using 'ki energy' whilst playing.

Workshops available:

Ages 10-16 years: 1.30pm - 3pm £10 per workshop

Ages 17+: 3.30pm - 5.30pm £15 per workshop
