Hanayui
A joint tour with Hanayui, a splinter group from the world-famous Kodo Drummers, featuring Japanese folk dance & song. We've worked twice with this group in 2004 & 2005, touring a successful show at a wide range of venues across the UK. Featuring traditional styles from their home on Sado Island, the southern island of Okinawa & the north of Japan, Hanayui brought their uplifting performance to the UK venues, while Mugenkyo provided the taiko soundtrack. The two organisations have since forged close links over the years, and it is our hope to be able to renew this collaborative project in the near future.
